When you apply for a trainee licence if you do not choose the supervised option then you HAVE to do at least 20 hours of extra training while you have your trainee licence
If you are training to become a driving instructor and want to go on a trainee licence (Pink Badge) then you are required to get extra training before you take your adi part 3 test.

What is the 20 Hours additional training
You need to declare you've done an extra 20 hours of training within 3 months of getting your trainee driving licence if you're not being supervised.
When does this need to be done
You must have done the training within 3 months of getting your trainee licence or before you book the approved driving instructor part 3 test - whichever is sooner
How Can this be Done
You have 2 options
20 hours in car training on a one to one basis
12 Hours Online E-learning and 8 hours in car
What the quickest option
Generally the quicker option is to do the E-Learning system - Get the basics of the test and the requirements then do one days training in car
Where is the In car sessions held?
These are all done in Telford and Shrewsbury and are offered Monday - Sunday so you can do the training on the weekend
How much does it cost?
We do easy pay instalments for both options, the 20 hours in car is £900

There are 2 course options and both are available to pay by instalments so you can train now and pay later
1 - 20 hours one to one in car training in Telford and Shrewsbury which can be done over 3 days Friday-Sunday or whichever days suit you best
COST - £1100 (available in 3 -Interest free monthly payments of £366 or over longer - 12 months at £108 per month)
2 - E Learning Course 12 hours of E-Learning to get the teaching skills or subjects and briefings clearly understood, then One day of 8 hours in car training
COST - £600 (available in 3 -Interest free monthly payments of £200 or over longer - 12 months at £59 per month)*

Exclusive E-Learning 20 Hours Course
Our e-learning series is designed to help you sound down what you have already learned in your training and boost it.
We provide 8 hours of training that gives you 6 month access to stream the topics that you are unsure of or want to boost to help you become more confident before taking the adi part 3 test - therefore giving yoou the best chance of passing the ADI Part 3
This is then backed up by 2 In car training sessions at our training place of Telford, to allow you to practice the techniques and scenarios that you will encounter on your test

ADI Part 3 extra training
You have to do at least 20 hours of extra training in the topics in the training programme. After you get your training licence, you must complete the training within the next 3 months and before you book the ADI part 3 test.
At least 25% of the training must be practical in-car training.
The training must be recorded on the instructor training declaration form. You must send the form to DVSA as soon as you’ve completed your training. If you do not send the form, DVSA can take your trainee licence away. You can do this by email.

If you fail the ADI part 3 test or you do not book it in time

If you fail the test, you must do 5 hours of extra training before your next attempt. You have 3 attempts to pass the test.
If you do not book the test within 3 months of getting your licence, you must take 5 hours of extra training before you book the test.
Each time you do 5 hours of extra training, record it on a new instructor training declaration form.
